Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. Written in plain language.

This policy covers the Kreyaa app for shoppers, the Kreyaa Merchant app for shops, and the website kreyaa.in. "We" means Kreyaa, based in Manipal, Karnataka, India. Questions: privacy@kreyaa.in.
Shoppers (Kreyaa app)
- Location. If you allow it, your phone's location is used to find nearby shops. You can refuse and choose a place on the map instead. We use the location you give to search; we do not track you in the background.
- A guest ID. Instead of asking you to sign up, the app creates an anonymous guest ID so your saves and hold requests can be kept. It is not your name or email.
- What you do in the app. Items and shops you save, hold requests (item, size, shop, time) and your answers about how a hold went.
- Searches. The words you search for, the approximate area and the number of results, linked to your guest ID. We use this to understand what people near a shop are looking for, and shops may see totals, never who searched.
- Notifications. If you turn notifications on, your phone's push token is stored so we can tell you when a shop answers a hold.
Shop owners (Kreyaa Merchant app)
- Email address, used to send your sign-in code.
- Shop details you enter: name, phone, address, opening hours and location. These are shown to shoppers, because that is the purpose of the app.
- Items and photos you add, and your answers to hold requests.
- Location only when you tap "My location" to place your shop, once.
Website (kreyaa.in)
- Waitlist. If you join, we store your email, whether you are a shopper or a shop, and the area you chose. We use it only to tell you when Kreyaa opens.
- The site loads the Plus Jakarta Sans and Inter fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google. We run no advertising or analytics trackers.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Your choices
- Turn location or notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
- Ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or to remove your email from the waitlist, by writing to privacy@kreyaa.in. Tell us the email you used (shop owners and waitlist) or the details of your request. We will reply within 30 days.
- Shoppers using a guest ID cannot be identified by name, so to delete guest data tell us what you can about your device and request; deleting the app removes the guest ID from your phone.
Keeping data safe and changes
Data is stored with access rules so each person can only read their own records, and photo uploads are limited to the shop that owns the item. We keep data while your account or the service is active, and delete or anonymise it when asked or no longer needed. If we change this policy we will update the date above.
